The website says "Looking for a gold that works for all eye colors? Then this is the gold for you! Precious metals don't sparkle, they flash. [...] Molten in gold, copper, and desert sun."
My opinion: This is a very nice, rather warm gold. While it's bordering on being metallic, it still has a very nice sparkle effect to it. It's not too light nor too dark & intensity varies as you can layer it over a base to get a bolder effect or apply it without one for a sheer wash of color.
"Pretty Gold" was easy to apply (it wasn't overly dusty or something like that) & a little goes a long way.
The color is lovely, as all other golds in my collection are lighter toned & a darker gold which borders on being copper was something I wanted to have in my stash since quite a while.
I applied Pretty Gold over a base (MAC "Bare Study paint pot) on my lower lid & without base in my crease.
This is the look I created (Including special guest appearance of Dorian, my dog. Do you see him? *gg*):
face: MAC Studio Sculpt SPF15 in NW25
eyes: MAC "Bare Study" paint pot on lower lid, Overall Beauty "Pretty Gold" layered over "Bare Study", "Pretty Gold" also in crease. MAC "Vanilla" e/s to highlight. MAC "Push the Edge" pigment to line upper & lower lashline.
cheeks: NARS "Luster" blush, NARS "Albatross" to highlight
lips: MAC "Bordeauxline" powerpoint pencil to fill in lips, MAC "Play Time" lipstick
nail polish: Sephora by OPI "Hell to the No"
Thanks for looking :-)
