Do It Like A Dude?

Well, not really *lol*

At the moment, I've only very limited time to spend at the computer, that's why I haven't been able to comment on all the blogs I usually frequent nor to blog on my own one.

This is a makeup look & outfit I wore a few days ago.

So sorry for the craptastic quality of this outfit photo, my camera had some issues & it took me a while to figure out what it was. Therefore, the pic came out even more blurry than usual :-(

Pattern Against User

Hi guys!

I'm sorry, you must have thought I kept you hanging, but that's of course not the case :-D We just partied a bit this weekend, with the good weather over here, how could we not be in a party-mood?! *lol*

My cam is working again, the memory software is broke, but I bought a memory card & now it's working fine again.

Thes pics were taken a few days ago (before it broke), I completely forgot I had this pair of shorts in my closet *lol* I hadn't worn them before, they still had the price tag on them.

shoes: Street

jewelry: from different little boutiques

eyes: MAC "Shroom" all over lid, MAC "Haux" in & above crease. MAC "Carbon" & "Feline" eye pencil to line.

Where Did All The Flowers Go?

...They're on my nails! *yay* :-D

You already know this nailart from my last OotD photos, but I wanted to do an extra post on it to show you a more detailed pic.
Actually, I planned to do a tutorial showing you in which order to apply the polishes, which brush & dotting tool I used, etc.
But then it happened...*tension is rising*...my camera broke! It suddenly showed "card error" & from then on I couldn't take pictures anymore :-(
My memory card is integrated in the camera, so I don't know if it's possible to repair it without costing a fortune. It's only 2 1/2 years so I didn't expect any issues, yet & I really need my cam!
Hopefully, tomorrow I'll know more. At the worst, I need to buy a new cam. Geez, this is so sucky, first my modem, now my cam - as if I had a cash cow...

So all I can show you at the moment is a picture of my floral nailart:

I used one coat of Illamasqua "Boosh" as a base. It's important to use a polish that only needs one or two coats so that it dries quickly. If you don't wait until the base polish is dry, you'll mess up the design.
Then I used a fine nailart brush to apply small strokes of Orly "Pixy Stix", Illamasqua "Jo'Mina" & Orly "Gumdrop" that formed the flowers. The last step was to apply small dots of Misa "Happy Happy"as the center of the flowers & to highlight the design.
It took me about an hour to do this design, it's the most complicated nailart I did to date.

Don't Paint It Black

Hi guys :-)

I'm sorry, I haven't posted in a while & I can't check your blogs as often as I'd like to :-( So please don't think I'm ignoring you, I just happen to be really busy these days & can't sit in front of the computer as often as I'd like to.

Today I'd like to show you an outfit that I wore a few days ago. As much as I love the color black, I decided this year I should try to think out of the box & try to wear more colorful outfits.
I already bought several floral print dresses & skirts, but it's still too cold to wear them. Even though it has gotten warmer with lots of sunshine, unfortunately the air is still pretty cold.

So this is my first take on a not solely black outfit:

My boyfriend came home & made fun of me while I tried to take a pic.
I couldn't stop giggling because he acted so silly :-D

The pattern of my dress.

Jewelry & Chanel "Black Pearl" polish.

Earring.

My favorite boots ever! They are so comfortable & I wear them all the time.

dress: C&A

scarf: From a little boutique near to where I live.

leggins: American Apparel

shoes: Deichmann

Me, wearing my nude everyday make up. In everyday life, I often don't have the time to put on a whole lot of make up (& admittingly, I can be a little lazy, too *g*).
Sorry, the quality of my photo is even worse than usual. I've no clue why that is, I think the lighting was pretty bad.

eyes: MAC "Shroom" all over lid & to highlight. MAC "Satin Taupe" in crease. No liner.

face: MAC Mineralize Satinfinish foundation in NW20

cheeks: MAC "Melba"

lips: MAC "Hug Me"

polish: Chanel "Black Pearl"

I'm also wearing a pigtail headband that I purchased a few weeks ago from eBay.
If I remember correctly, it's a Singapore based seller.
As I could only go from the pictures he posted, I was a little unsure about which color to choose.
Then I decided to go for light brown, even though I think my hair isn't light but rather medium brown. Anyways, turned out the color of the hairband looks exactly like the swatch *yay* IMO, it matches my haircolor pretty well.

Daisy Inspired Nails

I'm not sure what's wrong with me, but I feel so exhausted & tired after a pretty long, stressful week. I even went to bed shortly after midnight *gasps*. (Usually, I rarely sleep before 2 or 3 a.m. - I'm a real night owl :-D)

Anyways, due to my drowsiness I don't have any new make up looks for you, but I'd like to share a new nail art with you.

Last week (or maybe it's already 2 weeks ago?) I saw the first daisy of spring in our garden:

It inspired me to do the following nail art:

I used Illamasqua "Milf" as a base, sponged with Orly "Mint Mojito" (nearly invisible) & Nubar "Forest" & dotted the daisies with OPI "Alpine Snow" & Misa "Happy Happy".

BTW: I'll do a tutorial on how to sponge as soon as I can, but I really suck at things like that, so please bear with me ;-)

3 days ago, the first duck (a male :-D) visited the pond in our garden & comes every day since *yay*
During mating season, ducks always like to visit our pond & I really love it! They are so cute :-) They know they'll always get something to eat: chicken feed & (unsalted!) peanuts, so they're eagerly waiting for that, too. Sometimes they even knock at our door to make sure we don't overlook them *lol*
